Mid-year Summary 2023

Earlier this year we did a fundraising campaign to help with earthquake relief for Turkey and Syria. We fundraised $6,036, which were directly distributed to the White Helmets and Turkish Philanthropy Funds, trusted organizations providing on-the-ground search and rescue and relief efforts.

For the Arenas Community and Emergency Center, Guánica, we put together a fundraising package to provide kitchen and dining equipment for the community kitchen, which was designed pro bono by our collaborative partners from Ricca Design Studios. The kitchen design is flexible, able to adapt to emergency events for enhanced food delivery capacity and able to contract to allow the dining spaces to flex as an event or training space.

We collaborated with The Centro de Desarrollo & Servicios Comunitarios Id Shaliah Inc. with our services we aimed to empower the community leadership with a clear mapping strategy, enabling them to implement required changes over time. This center serves more than 200 hot meals per week for the Cubuy-Lomas community elderly population.
